Karl Jallad, MD, FACOG

Dr. Karl Jallad is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Lebanese American University (LAU) and a Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon at LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital. A graduate of the American University of Beirut, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Georgetown University and his fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Jallad is among the few fellowship-trained urogynecologists in the region, specializing in minimally invasive and natural orifice reconstructive techniques, pelvic floor disorders, and urinary incontinence. In 2025, he was appointed Health System Chief Medical Officer for LAU Health, where he continues to advance clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care across the institution.

Eddie K. Abdallah, MD, FACS

Dr. Eddie K. Abdallah is a Professor of Surgery and the Founding Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Lebanese American University (LAU), where he also served as Assistant Dean for Strategy and Development. An internationally recognized leader in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, Dr. Abdalla specializes in complex liver and pancreas cancer operations and has contributed extensively to surgical oncology research and education. Before joining LAU, he held major leadership roles in the United States, including Medical Director of the Liver and Pancreas Program at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute in Atlanta. Through his academic leadership, clinical excellence, and dedication to advancing surgical care, Dr. Abdalla continues to shape the next generation of surgeons and elevate standards of cancer surgery in Lebanon and beyond.

Christina Khater, MD
Lebanese American University
Dr. Christina Khater is an American Board–certified Hematologist and Oncologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Hematology and Oncology at the Lebanese American University (LAU). She practices at LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital, where she provides comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions while actively contributing to medical education and training. Dr. Khater’s clinical and academic focus lies in advancing cancer treatment approaches and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
